School Policies

Heroz Driving School is committed to providing exceptional services in a timely manner. When a student cancels without giving enough notice, charges may apply. Cancellation requests may be submitted by phone, email or in person.

  Cancellation made after 48 hours of registration will incur an administration fee of CA$50. No fee applies if cancelled within 48 hours of registration.

  If a student has attended and/or completed online classes, there will be no refund.

  Students in the middle of training may cancel and receive a partial refund if requested within 12 months from the training start date.
• 04
  Students who have fully paid must complete training within 12 months, otherwise they may not be eligible for a refund.

  Refunds will be processed no later than 7 business days after the request is received.

  The school will provide training in a timely and professional manner.
• 02
  A course outline will be provided to the student/guardian prior to signing the contract.

  The instructor and training vehicle will be clean and in good running condition with valid registration and insurance.
• 04
  The driving instructor is licensed by Alberta Transportation and will produce their license upon request.
• 05
  If the school must cancel a lesson due to instructor illness, vehicle breakdown or any other school-side reason, every effort will be made to reschedule as soon as possible.

  The driving instructor will give full attention to the student during in-vehicle lessons. No cell phone use unless the vehicle has safely stopped.

  An in-vehicle student summary with detailed evaluation will be completed by the instructor at the end of each lesson.

  The student must hold the minimum class of license required for training (Class 7 for Class 5 GDL or Advanced).

  Age requirement: 14–17 years old for Class 5 with parental/guardian consent; 18+ without parental consent.

  Students must have their license on them during in-vehicle training. The instructor must verify before each lesson.
• 04
  To receive a Driver Education Course Completion Certificate, students must attend the required minimum hours and pass: in-vehicle 75% minimum · classroom 80% minimum.

  Any act of negligence by the student resulting in damage or fines will be the student's responsibility.
• 06
  Unacceptable behaviour (intoxication, drug use affecting driving, swearing, being continually late) will not be tolerated and the school may discontinue lessons at the student's expense.

  Cell phones are not permitted during driving lessons (in classroom or in-vehicle).
• 08
  In-vehicle lesson cancellations require 24 hours notice. Missed lessons without valid reason incur a $30/hour penalty.

The following fees may apply in addition to program fees. All fees are subject to 5% GST.
